Comparing Gaming to Now

While it seems like that it is going to be a blastingon newer games, it is more of a personal preference on gaming. There are some of the newer games that canbe good. The Halo series has been goodand in fact, playing some of the Zelda, Mega Man, and Castlevania games have been rather well put together so it is not all bad. Wrestling games aren’t that bad at all as could be the new franchise with the First Person Shooter time being with Halo.Of course, there are some games that got infamous that I had played but had no ill effects at all. Games such as Mortal Kombat were used as scape goats for people who did not want to punish their kids. Ask a doctor about this one because this in my opinion should not be justified in a court of law. Today, it is with Grand Theft Auto even though it is clearly written on the box with a rating for ‘M’ -intending it for Mature Audiences only. Some people need to learn to read on that because quite honestly, it is ridiculous.

Retro gaming seems to be more of what I am used to as far as a major challenge goes. Go back to agame like Ninja Gaiden 3 and tell me how hard that game is. Mostly, it has been with the Nintendo games a lot more challenging than most of the new games out there for today. Especially with hints being given and told what you need to do in order to get through to the next level without requiring a lot of thinking.

I am however pleased with the idea of a retro looking game made for this generation of gaming with Mega Man 9 being created. The whole purpose was not so much to alienate gamers but to bring tribute to where Mega Man was at its best. It was strong during the NES Era of gaming. Much like those games of the past, you are going to be challenged without the need of hints being given and of course trying to accomplish some goals in the game with extra challenges.
