Comparing Gaming to Now
October 16th, 2008

Retro gaming seems to be more of what I am used to as far as a major challenge goes. Go back to agame like Ninja Gaiden 3 and tell me how hard that game is. Mostly, it has been with the Nintendo games a lot more challenging than most of the new games out there for today. Especially with hints being given and told what you need to do in order to get through to the next level without requiring a lot of thinking.
I am however pleased with the idea of a retro looking game made for this generation of gaming with Mega Man 9 being created. The whole purpose was not so much to alienate gamers but to bring tribute to where Mega Man was at its best. It was strong during the NES Era of gaming. Much like those games of the past, you are going to be challenged without the need of hints being given and of course trying to accomplish some goals in the game with extra challenges.
