A Look Back on the good old days of Cartoon Network TV

Cartoon Network has changed over the years since the inception. A few signature shows that stood out were Looney Tunes, The Flintstones and Jetsons were apart of the original Cartoon Network. It was a show that was dedicated to having all the cartoons came to one place and used to have the afternoons to watch something good. For myself, it was a great time to watch the channel itself but it is just my opinion. Looking back, there used to be an afternoon block showing some shows like Captain Planet or Johnny Quest. They even had a second Johnny Quest series, which was acceptable for that moment. They used to run animated movies on Sundays showing some like The Return of the King or The Hobbit. I remember those because they stood out.

Remember the time with Toonami used to be on five days a week and had some action packed shows like Ronin Warriors? Those were good times actually but somewhere along the line the format changed and who knows why. It could be because of trying to evolve into something it isn’t. When they started adding more live action shows, it really became a deception because it is a 24-hour Cartoon channel and should have cartoons only. Shoot, even animated movies would be just fine but I do not understand why there is a need to put live action on Cartoon Network. I do have to wonder from public relations on why it is doing that. It is not so much saying that the shows are bad, it just defies what the Cartoon Network and now what it has become.

If you are looking for the classic shows, you may want to go to Boomerang. It is a Classic Cartoon Network and can be more enjoyable to watch if you want to see classic shows one more time at least. You have your classic shows there that were on Cartoon Network for the most part and have transferred there. Perhaps you could call this The Nostalgic Cartoon Network or Classic Cartoon Network because it mainly shows some of the cartoons that used to be on back in the early days.
