I cannot see this proposed ‘moon clock’ becoming quite as iconic as Big Ben. It sounds like an interesting idea but perhaps the artists and scientists who are involved with designing it are being a little over-ambitious.

The area that is being used for this structure is currently a nature reserve and I think that it is a bit of a shame to turf out the wildlife just to put this oversized lunar timepiece there. Perhaps there is somewhere else that would be a more suitable location for it? London is a very large place, after all.

I am not sure who it is that is funding this project. It would be nice to know that it was not being paid for by the National Lottery as they have already put vast amounts of money into several other ‘works of art’ that were not particularly impressive (to say the least).
